I am based in the North West and for many years painted traditional wildlife/animal art.  I also used to paint pet portraits and have done so for the likes of Dame Laura Kenny (Cyclist) and Katarina Johnson Thompson (World Champion Heptathlete).  

During lockdown all my usual wildlife exhibitions stopped  which gave me the opportunity to experiment and explore different media.  For a while I concentrated on creating fun animal art but then I found myself drawn to painting portraits of whimsical characters that combine elements of realism and fantasy, often with a bit of a twist.  I call these characters “Fearless Maidens” 

I enjoy working in many different media to help keep the painting process fresh.  Most of the artwork for my diamond art is created digitally, working in photoshop on a graphics tablet.  All my work is hand drawn and no AI is used.  I also work in mixed media,  and my originals blend graphic elements with spray paints, acrylics, oils, inks and stencils (sometimes embellished with glitter, gems and diamond dust).   

When I’m not painting, I love spending time with my dog and am an avid reader of fiction.
